Privacy Policy
At GDriver, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you use GDriver or Ant BMS - GDriver. It was last updated August 31, 2026.
1. Information we collect
GDriver may collect information you provide directly, such as your account details, email address, username, controller names, and app preferences. The app may also collect ride metrics, controller telemetry, battery information, usage data, trip statistics, and device identifiers needed to connect your vehicle controller or battery management system.
When you enable notifications, we collect an app-installation identifier and Apple or Google push token so we can deliver the notification categories you select. When you make or restore a purchase, Apple or Google provides transaction, product, purchase status, and account-binding information used to verify access.
We collect limited app interaction, installation, device, and diagnostic information through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand feature reliability and crashes. Our iOS apps use the analytics configuration that does not collect the Apple advertising identifier, and we do not use this app data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
The GDriver Ride app accesses location data when you enable ride tracking, GPS speed, route replay, nearby rider, or social map features. Location data may include precise GPS coordinates, route points, speed, distance, timestamps, and the last known ride or rider location. If you allow background location access, GDriver may collect location data while the app is not open so trips and route points can continue to be recorded. Ant BMS - GDriver does not request location permission.
If you contact support or use social messaging, we collect the messages and any photos or videos you choose to attach. Bluetooth is used on-device to discover and communicate with supported controllers and battery management systems.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide core app functionality, including connecting to controllers and BMS devices, showing live telemetry, saving trips, calculating speed and range estimates, displaying route replays, improving battery health insights, and syncing your account settings across devices.
We also use information to authenticate accounts, verify BMS Pro and GDriver Pro purchases as separate entitlements, deliver requested notifications, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, diagnose failures, and improve app performance.
We use location data to record ride routes, calculate distance and GPS speed, show trip history and route replay, support Ride Atlas features, and—when you enable social map features—show your location or last-seen status according to your visibility settings.
3. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. Your trip, telemetry, account, and location data may be processed by service providers we use to operate the app, such as authentication, cloud database, storage, analytics, crash reporting, push delivery, maps, payment verification, and hosting providers. Apple and Google process store purchases under their own privacy policies. We disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users, our services, or legal rights.
Your precise or approximate location is not shown to other users unless you enable a feature that shares it, such as the social rider map. You can turn off sharing or limit visibility to friends in the app where those controls are available.
4. Website analytics
On the public GDriver website, Google Analytics loads automatically to help us understand page visits, traffic sources, device and browser categories, and basic website interactions. We do not send controller serials, account details, precise ride locations, or private ride and tune identifiers to Google Analytics. Shared ride and tune URLs are reported as generic page paths.
Advertising storage, advertising personalization, and Google Signals are disabled. Google Analytics may store analytics cookies in your browser. You can clear or block these cookies using your browser’s privacy settings.
5. Notifications
Notifications are optional. Ant BMS - GDriver asks for notification permission only after you choose to enable them from notification preferences. You can choose BMS health and low-battery categories, change their settings in the app, or disable permission in system settings. Push registrations are scoped to the product that created them.
6. Your choices and controls
You can control location access through your device settings. If you disable location permission, features such as GPS speed, trip route recording, route replay, Ride Atlas, and social map location may not work. You can also manage account preferences, social visibility, and trip-related settings in the app.
You can disable notifications, analytics collection where an app control is provided, social visibility, and optional cloud features. You may use the read-only Ant BMS demo without an account or hardware; demo data stays in the app and is not uploaded.
7. Retention and account deletion
We retain account and cloud feature data while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve support or security issues, meet legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. Device-local logs remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app, unless you choose a cloud analysis feature.
You can permanently delete your shared GDriver account from the Account screen in either app. Deletion removes the authentication account and associated Ride and BMS profile data, device memberships, push registrations, support data, uploaded media, and user-owned cloud records. Purchase, refund, fraud-prevention, and security records that must be retained may be kept only in a de-identified form. See the account deletion instructions.
8. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Some data may be stored on your device, and some may be stored or processed in cloud services to support account sync, trip history, social features, diagnostics, and app reliability.
9. Children
These apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
